Cremation Packages

To assist in your selection of our funeral services, we have packaged some of the most frequently requested funeral services charges. All packages must include a casket purchased from our funeral home. Merchandise and cash advances are in addition to the package funeral services charge below. No deductions or substitutions will be made to these packages. If a type of arrangement is requested that is not packaged, selections must be made from the itemized section of the General Price List.

Classic Service Package for Cremation                                                      $4995.00
            1 day visitation and funeral the next day.
            (Example: visitation 1pm-8pm with funeral the next day)

(For those families wishing to start out with 1st day visitation:4-8pm, 2nd day 1-8pm there is a $350.00 extra charge, TOTAL $5345.00)

The following may be added to your arrangement:
•  Private Family ID viewing (1/2 hour, no embalming) $415.00
•  Extra Hours for memorial visitation $300.00/hour
•  Deliver cremains to local church or cemetery $50.00
•  Cemetery Expenses Extra/Prices Vary

Direct Cremation/Family ID Viewing Service Package *                             $2230.00
           Direct Cremation with no embalming.  1/2 hour private family
           viewing. (Does not include delivery of cremated remains to cemetery
           or church.)

Our service charge includes:
•  Direct cremation service charge
•  Other preparation of the body ***
•  Use of facilities and staff for private 1/2 hour ID Viewing
•  "Alternative" (Transporter Casket) Cardboard cremation container for ID Viewing
•  Crematory fee
•  County cremation permit

*** Our staff prepares your loved one for identification. This service includes bathing the deceased, washing their hair, shaving them if desired, and dressing them in any clothing you provide.

The following may be added to your arrangement:
•  Use of equipment and staff for cemetery services $375.00
•  Deliver cremains to local church or cemetery $50.00
•  Cemetery Expenses Extra/Prices Vary

* Our funeral home reserves the right to disallow a gathering with an unembalmed body under certain circumstances of death that would not be in the best interest of our clients or the community at large.

Direct Cremation Service Package                                                              $1995.00
            Direct Cremation with no embalming.  Family and guests may
            meet at the cemetery to witness burial of cremated remains or
            brief committal service.

Our service charge includes:
•  Direct cremation service charge
•  "Standard" wood/cardboard cremation container
•  Use of funeral director and staff for cemetery committal service
•  Crematory fee
•  County cremation permit
•  Urn (4 to select from)

Basic Direct Cremation Package                                                                 $1495.00
            Does not include any services and delivery
            of cremated remains to cemetery/church is extra

Our service charge includes:
•  Direct cremation service charge
•  "Standard" wood/cardboard cremation container
•  Crematory fee
•  County cremation permit.

(Add $50.00 Nixons to Deliver cremains to local church or cemetery no service or witness)

*PLEASE READ (for direct cremations)….Embalming is not included in this package. Embalming is not required by Michigan law except if burial or cremation does not take place within 48 hours of death or if the deceased had certain communicable disease. An additional charge of $725.00 for embalming will be added. If a delay is caused by other than our funeral home, medical examiner, doctor or hospital, it is considered selected and will be charged for.
