Environmentally Friendly (Green Burial) Packages

To assist in your selection of our funeral services, we have packaged some of the most frequently requested funeral services charges. All packages must include a casket purchased from our funeral home. Merchandise and cash advances are in addition to the package funeral services charge below. No deductions or substitutions will be made to these packages. If a type of arrangement is requested that is not packaged, selections must be made from the itemized section of the General Price List.

Classic Service Package for  Green Burial                                                 $4845.00
            1 day visitation and funeral the next day.

(For those families wishing to start out with 1st day visitation:4-8pm, 2nd day 1-8pm there is a $350.00 extra charge, TOTAL $5195.00)

(Example: visitation 1pm-9pm with funeral next day.)

Our service charge includes:
•  Basic service of funeral director and staff
•  Embalming (Green Burial Preparation)
•  Other preparation of remains
•  Use of facilities and staff for viewing
•  Use of facilities and staff for funeral ceremony
•  Transportation to funeral home
•  Hearse
•  One complementary tapestry throw or memorial scarf (several to select) or Picture Frame

4 Hour Visitation Service Package for  Green Burial                                $4545.00
            4 hours of visitation with funeral the next day.
            (example: visitation 4pm-9pm with the funeral the next day)

Our service charge includes:
•  Basic services of funeral director and staff
•  Embalming (Green Burial Preparation)
•  Other preparation of remains
•  Use of facilities and staff for viewing
•  Use of facilities and staff for funeral ceremony
•  Transportation of remains to funeral home
•  Hearse
•  One complementary tapestry throw or memorial scarf (several to select) or Picture Frame

2 Hour Visitation / Funeral Service Package for Green Burial                $3350.00
            2 Hours of visitation with a funeral service. No Embalming
           (Example: visitation 9am –11am with funeral at 11am at funeral home)

Our service charge includes:
•  Basic services of funeral director and staff
•  Other preparation of remains
•  Use of facilities and staff for private ID ½ hour viewing
•  Use of facilities and staff for 2 hour public visitation (closed casket)
•  Use of facilities and staff for funeral ceremony
•  Transportation of remains to funeral home
•  Hearse
•  One complementary tapestry throw or memorial scarf (several to select) or Picture Frame
                       
*You may add $300.00 per hour for additional hours of visitation
*Additional Fee to prepare difficult remains $250.00

*PLEASE READ Embalming is not included in this package. Embalming is not required by Michigan law except if burial or cremation does not take place within 48 hours of death or if the deceased had certain communicable disease.

Family ID Viewing / Funeral Service Package for Green Burial             $2850.00
            No embalming
            ½ hour private family viewing / closed casket, funeral
            to follow within 48 hours of death.   

Our service charge includes:
•  Basic services of funeral director and staff
•  Other preparation of remains
•  Use of facilities and staff for Private ID viewing (1/2 hour)
•  Use of facilities and staff for funeral ceremony ( at funeral home or church)
•  Use of funeral director and staff for cemetery committal service
•  Transportation of remains to funeral home
•  Hearse

*Additional Fee to prepare difficult remains $250.00

*PLEASE READ Embalming is not included in this package. Embalming is not required by Michigan law except if burial or cremation does not take place within 48 hours of death or if the deceased had certain communicable disease.

Direct Green Burial Service Package                                                          $2200.00
            Direct burial with no embalming, no viewing and a closed casket
            at the cemetery.  Family and guests can meet at the cemetery to
            witness the burial and have a brief committal service.

Our service charge includes:
•  Basic services of funeral director and staff
•  Transportation to funeral home
•  Transportation to cemetery with funeral home van
•  Other preparation of remains***
•  Use of funeral director and staff for cemetery committal services

Additional fee to prepare difficult remains,$250.00 , Hearse $345.00

*** Our staff prepares your loved one for burial. This service includes bathing the deceased, washing their hair, shaving them if desired and dressing them in any clothing you provide.

Basic Direct Green Burial                                                                        $1870.00
           Direct burial with no embalming, viewing or other preparation of remains,
           Funeral director to set time for burial (“Immediate family only” to witness burial at cemetery)  

Our service charge includes:
•  Basic services of funeral director and staff
•  Transportation to funeral home
•  Transportation to cemetery with funeral home van
•  Use of funeral director and staff for cemetery committal services

The following may be added to your arrangement:

                        Other preparation of remains                       $320.00

Please note: Each request families make for arrangements must be reviewed individually. Our funeral home, therefore, reserves the right to disallow a public gathering or church funeral with an unembalmed body under certain circumstances of death that would not be in the best interest of our clients or the community at large.
